February 2018 “More Love”

Finally… January seemed like it was never going to end?! Now we’re here. February, the month of love! Whether that be romantic, friendship, family or self love – who cares?! Brush off the negativity you’re bound to here about it being a “meaningless, waste of time” and embrace what Valentines can really mean to you. It’s moving in a different direction, with self love at it’s centre. So show some love people!

The best ways to love yourself this February

Tend to your surroundings:

Having beautiful surroundings can do wonders for your mindset. Start in the room you spend the most time in. If it’s the office- don’t we all, then why not get round to putting up that art work you’ve been waiting to hang? Pin up some inspirational quotes or posters. Get visual and create a mood board. Not everything has to be digital. Get creative and pin your favourite fabric swatches, pages of magazines, postcards and photos to your wall. If the kitchen is your main domain, set aside a day where you cook that recipe you’ve been waiting for ages to make but have never got round to? Bedroom, light a scented candle and do that meditation you’ve been putting off. You’ll be surprised at how much of a difference these little snippets of self care can really make.

Our favourites this month:

For gorgeous prints you’ll want to hang in every room in your house check out Hotel Magique.

Feed your mind:

If you’re anything like the rest of us then you’ll have a booklist that you’re dying to get cracking on but “you never have the time”. Well make time. Reading is therapeutic, relaxing, and a little luxury we all take for granted. Even if you promise to read a few pages before bed each night, it’s a start! Want to get out of the house? Drinks with your friends is always a sure winner, but if you’re looking for something a little extra then why not check out an art installation or get tickets to a networking event you’ve always wanted to go to but wasn’t sure if you should.
